Fresh Tuna and Avocado Don with Wasabi Sauce

Ingredients: 4 servings

Raw tuna
(Sashimi quality, can be eaten raw)
200 g
Avocados2 pcs
Cucumber
(10cm cucumber diced into 0.5cm cubes)
1 pcs
Soy sauce, for serving1 tbsp
Sushi rice600 g / 21.2 oz
Green leaves (baby cress)Bunch
Lemon slice, for garnishFew slices

Creamy wasabi dressing

S&B Wasabi Sauce2 tbsp
Sour cream (or mayonnaise)3 tbsp
Lemon juice1 tbsp
Garlic, grated1 tsp
Shallot, roughly chopped1 pcs
Salt, for seasoningTo taste

Directions

  1. To make the creamy wasabi dressing, combine all the ingredients in a bowl, then place in the fridge.
  2. Dice the avocado into 1cm cubes. Sprinkle with lemon juice to keep it from turning brown.
  3. Dice the tuna into 1cm cubes. Place the tuna, avocado, and cucumber in a large bowl, then combine with the creamy wasabi dressing.
  4. Put the sushi rice in a soup bowl, place the green leaf on top, then spread over the tuna and avocado mixture.
  5. Garnish with baby cress and lemon slice. Then serve with a drizzle of soy sauce and extra wasabi sauce on top if you like it hot.
