Bean Curry in Pita Bread

Ingredients: 5 servings

Blend of ground pork and beef150 g / 5.3 oz
Ginger and garlic,
finely chopped (each)
5 g / 0.2 oz
Onions125 g / 4.4 oz
Carrots, finely chopped25 g / 0.9 oz
Celery, finely chopped25 g / 0.9 oz
Mixed beans, boiled with
only a pinch of salt
250 g / 8.8 oz
Oil1 tbs
Lettuce leaves5 leaves
Pita breads5 pcs
Sliced tomatoes10 slices

A

Mango chutney13 g / 0.5 oz
Whole cumin1/2 tsp
Curry powder2.5 g / 0.1 oz
Garam masala0.0 oz
Allspice (powder)0.0 oz
S&B Golden Curry, finely chopped40 g / 1.4 oz
Water250 ml
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Heat oil in a frying pan. Add ginger, garlic and meat then stir. When the meat is cooked, add onion, carrot and celery then stir.
  2. Combine ingredients of A together with the mixed beans, and add them to the pan. Add water and skim the layer of scum off the top of the mixture.
  3. Place lettuce leaves, bean curry and sliced tomatoes into the pita bread.
