Curry Flavored Rice Gratin

Ingredients: 2 servings

Meat (beef, pork or chicken of
your choice, 1" diced)
50 g / 1.8 oz
Onion, diced into 1" cubes30 g / 1.1 oz
Carrot, diced into 1" cubes20 g / 0.7 oz
Potato, diced into 1" cubes50 g / 1.8 oz
Cooking oil1 tsp
Water (or broth)250 cc
S&B Curry Sauce Mix40 g / 1.4 oz
White sauce2 cups
Cooked rice300 g / 10.6 oz
Bread crumbs2 tbs
Cheese, finely grated2 tbs
Parsley, choppedSmall bunch

Directions

  1. Heat cooking oil in a pot and fry meat and onions until brown.
  2. Add water and bring to boil. Cook for about 10 minutes with a low heat until done.
  3. Turn off the heat, add curry sauce mix and melt it completely. Turn on the heat again and simmer until thickened (about 3 minutes).
  4. Spread butter in an oven-safe container, spread rice in the bottom, pour curry evenly into container then pour white sauce over curry.
  5. Sprinkle bread crumbs and powdered cheese then bake in an oven at 450°F for about 10 minutes or until it's a beautiful brown.
  6. Sprinkle parsley and serve.
